"Exploring, My Life" is an animated PSA about anxiety toward the future. The piece centers on teenagers stuck between schooling, career, and self-identity — making an abstract feeling concrete enough to land without preaching.
Production
Script, storyboard, palette, animation, and sound — all solo. I was still in high school with no formal animation training. Everything was self-taught + Final Cut Pro + a lot of repeated failures.
Awards
2021 Ministry of Education Youth Development Agency — Silver Award 2021 MOE — Outstanding Animation Award First time my work was judged externally. First time I realized 'things that move' could be taken seriously.
Why this piece matters
This taught me a rule I still apply to products: making an abstract feeling concrete is harder — and more worthwhile — than making a technique look slick. Solve a real ache first; figure out how to dazzle later.
